This is what to experience with the family:

PURE relaxation. Sleep your way to a ski holiday. Board the ferry in Hirtshals at 20:00 on Friday evening, enjoy the time on board and settle down in a private cabin. At 12:30 the next day, arrive well-rested in Bergen. From here it is only a 1.5-hour drive to the destination: Myrkdalen is a unique secret escape. The area is slightly tucked away, with relatively few visitors. Plenty of space, fresh air and no lift queues are the key here.

Myrkdalen Hotel is located right by the slopes. Ski in/Ski out. The ski area has something for every taste, with blue, red and black runs. Myrkdalen is family-friendly. In addition to the alpine area, there are also 28 km of well-groomed trails ready for cross-country skiing. Myrkdalen is the place in Europe with the most snow every winter. From the beginning of December to the end of May, the slopes are open. Every Wednesday evening the slopes are floodlit.

The stay includes half board. Breakfast buffet, and in the evening there is free choice between three different restaurants. The main restaurant with a 3-course menu, the fondue restaurant with cheese and meat fondue, or Tunet restaurant, which serves pizza, burgers and pasta. (Norway’s best pizza).

If anyone gets thirsty or hungry on the slopes, there are also options to satisfy that need out there.

The après-ski bar is lively every evening, and local specialties can be bought in a small convenience store. This is a ski holiday for the whole family.

In addition to this package, it is possible to go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride, a dog sledding tour, or a fjord winter cruise. An afternoon with an activity other than skiing is recommended, as it makes the entire holiday experience unique. These extra activities can be booked directly through NRAFF.

You can bring your own ski equipment or rent it directly in Myrkdalen. If you wish to drive over the Øresund Bridge and thus not sail from Hirtshals, the price above will be reduced by the ferry crossing. 

The hotel is not that big, so the first come, first served principle naturally applies. When booking, a deposit of DKK 2,000 is paid. The remaining amount is due 16 days before departure. Cancellation is also possible up to 16 days before departure.

So pack warm clothes and a deck of cards in the car and head north. The rest has been taken care of ;-)
