This is what to experience with the family:

Geilo belongs in the league of Norway’s largest ski areas. The area is only 4 hours from Larvik, where the ferry arrives. This is one of the Norwegians’ favourite ski resorts. There are many shops and a vibrant après-ski scene.

Vestlia Resort hotel is located right by the slopes. Ski in/Ski out. The ski area has something for every taste, with green, blue, red and black runs. Vestlia Resort is family-friendly. In the evening there are plenty of activities for the whole family at the hotel, such as Eventyrbadet, which is a water park featuring, among other things, an 82 m water slide, 8 bowling lanes, a play area, a fitness centre and a spa area.

There are a total of 46 slopes (42 km) in the alpine area. In addition, there are 220 km of cross-country trails. Snow reliability is high from mid-December to mid-April.

The stay includes half board: breakfast buffet and a 3-course dinner.

Accommodation is in a new family room with plenty of space.

In addition to this package, it is possible to go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a dog sledding tour. These extra activities can be booked directly through NRAFF.

It is possible to bring personal ski equipment or rent it directly in Geilo. If choosing to drive across the Øresund Bridge instead of taking the ferry from Hirtshals, the price above will be reduced by the cost of the ferry crossing.

When booking, a deposit of DKK 2,000 is paid. The remaining amount is due 14 days before departure. Cancellation is also possible up to 14 days before departure.

In April the sun starts to get strong, so remember sunscreen.

So pack warm clothes and a deck of cards in the car and head north. Everything else is taken care of.
